Danny Smith, Executive Director
Welcome to Voices of Distinction! Founded and Directed by Danny Smith, Voices of Distinction was formed in 2002 beginning with eight singers. Falling on the heels of 20 years of Musical Theater directing and performing, Danny began a quest for a "little chorus with a heart". Having performed in over 35 musical performances as the Executive Director of the Kingston, NH based "Encore Theater Company", Danny branched off to form "Voices". Since its inception, Voices of Distinction has performed to numerous sold out audiences at the Historic Church on the Plains in Kingston, NH. Having found its niche and "home" performance hall, Voices is now in its 9th season, and has a performing chorus of over 65 people, in addition to the Voices Chamber Orchestra, which has added depth and beauty to the already hauntingly beautiful choral arrangements. Since beginning, Voices has become well known for its magical Christmas presentations, in addition to concerts dedicated to Classics, Standards, Broadway, Disney, Christian, Movie scores, Hollywood, and Pop Music. Adding community service to its roster, Voices has contributed monetary donations to the National AIDS Memorial Grove, the First Congregational church of Kingston, and the Kingston Improvement and Historical Society. Voices has partnered at Christmas for an additional performance with the Main Street Congregational Church, UCC in Amesbury, MA, where Danny has been the Minister of Music since 2004. Voices is a Non-auditioned chorus who welcomes all singers of all ability who have a desire to make a difference in the community. Voices continues to grow in numbers, in quality, and in the memories of concert-goers.
